Our transformer drying systems
At our factory in Bocholt, we develop customised system designs and construct components and complete systems. We exclusively use components from renowned German and European manufacturers, guaranteeing many years of service. We offer transformer manufacturers and service companies the following technologies:
- Conventional convection drying process in a vacuum chamber (HA)
- Current heating and drying process (LFH und DC)
- Customised combination of these processes
Current heating plants (LFH, DC) for distribution transformers,
combined methods or field service
Current heating plants are the most effective systems for heating windings and for the associated drying of transformers. The thermal energy is applied exclusively to the conductor with a high degree of efficiency. This means there are different system concepts for the different transformer types.
Distribution transformers are primarily treated with systems for drying and subsequent filling in a vacuum.
For larger distribution transformers from approx. 2.5 MVA, a combined method lends itself as a solution. In this method, the thermal energy is supplied using current heating and air circulation. Final drying takes place in a subsequent vacuum process. The benefit of this method is that the inner part of the winding is also heated very quickly. Energy can also be supplied during the vacuum stage.
Our current heating systems can also be used for field drying of power transformers.
