Our transformer drying systems
The customer-specifc engineering/designing of the systems and the selection of components takes place at our site in Bocholt. Preferably the construction or assembly of the complete plant also takes place at our Bocholt factory. Only components from renowned German or European manufacturers are used, so as to ensure long-term service and parts availability.
We offer the following technologies for transformer manufacturers and service and repair businesses
- Conventional circulation air drying process in a vacuum chamber (HA)
- Drying through acive part heating by means of current heat (LFH or DCH) in a vacuum chamber
- Custom-specif c combination of active part heating through circulation air and current heat (HA and LFH or DCH)
The continuous determination of humidity in the chamber enables process optimisations. The information on the humidity
in the autoclave during the heating phase can be used for the initialisation of an automatically increased fresh
air supply. This can also occur in combination with or through the initialisation of an intermediate pressure reduction
phase (vacuum). In addition to the stationary plant types we offer mobile solutions for service operations to be carried
out directly onsite. Request information now
Heating by means of hot air and subsequent vacuum drying (HA)
The flexibility of hot air systems allows for the drying of different transformer types at the same time (in a batch). At the same time the system can also be used to fill the transformers with oil. Our hot air systems come with the advantages of low investment costs as well as their potential further use beyond transformer drying.
Current heat systems (LFH and DCH) for the drying of distribution and traction transformers
Current heat systems are the most effective systems for the heating of windings and associated drying of the transformer. The thermal energy is applied exclusively to the conductor with a high degree of efficiency. This means there are different system concepts for different transformer types.
Drying of active parts built into tank
Distribution transformers are mainly treated with systems for drying and subsequent filling in a vacuum.
Combined procedures for drying distribution transformers (HA and LFH or DCH)
Drying of active parts before installation in tank
For larger distribution transformers (from approx. 2.5 MVA) or traction transformers a combined procedure is suitable. In this procedure the heating energy is supplied by means of current heat and hot air. Final drying takes place in a subsequent vacuum process. The benefit of this method is that the inner part of the winding is also heated very quickly. Energy can also be supplied here during the vacuum phase.
Industrie 4.0 – Special technical equipment
As a modern industrial company we are constantly working on the development and optimisation of our plant systems. We offer our customers state-of-the-art machinery of the highest technical standard. In addition to the use of highquality components for manufacture, there is a special focus on process visualisation and control.
With modern alarm management systems and remote maintenance software, status/process messages, warnings, error messages and leaks in the system can be displayed immediately. Remote diagnosis by means of a remote connection enables our employees to quickly and reliably access the production facilities of our worldwide customer base.
Remote diagnosis and remote maintenance
With remote maintenance access our systems can be remote-controlled by means of a tablet or similar mobile end devices. Verified and approved users receive password-protected access to the visualisation computer, to which they can connect directly if necessary. The access enables the user to operate the plants from any location. There are no restrictions of any kind in operating the plant via the remote maintenance access in comparison to operation at the plant directly onsite.
Digital monitoring and reporting systems
In modern production facilities the quick and reliable signalling of malfunctions to the responsible persons is becoming increasingly important. We offer automatic alarm systems that report appropriate information quickly and reliably in the event of a fault.
- Alarm management systems
- Automatic fill level notification
- Automatic leak test in plant systems
