Vacuum drying of hoses and fittings
The drying of hoses and fittings with internal cavities requires controlled and validated process management.
Especially in the case of complex geometries, dead spaces or capillary structures, heating alone is often not sufficient to ensure complete drying. Even with temperature-sensitive hoses or fittings, the drying process must be designed to ensure complete moisture removal with minimal thermal stress. The vacuum drying system combines standard components with a very powerful and robust vacuum pump.
With integrated pressure test for remaining moisture testing
In addition to efficient moisture removal, our vacuum drying system enables a physically check of the drying status via an integrated pressure test. This is carried out immediately after drying by means of a pressure holding test. The test parameters are specified in accordance with the requirements and can be adapted to the individual drying material.
Technical requirements for components
The following conditions must be met to ensure reliable hose and fitting drying:
Flowability
The component must be completely flow-through so that:
- Air or process gas can be supplied in a targeted way
- Moisture can be actively removed from the interior
Vacuum resistance
The product must be mechanically designed for the intended pressure range.
Depending on the process, we typically work in the range from 3 to 500 mbar.
The components must:
- Resisting internal negative pressure
- Remain dimensionally stable
